Second installment in a three-part solo exhibition
Designed in collaboration with cinematographer Thomas Pretorius and with the help of his assistant Marco King, the video artwork for An Interlude is aimed at creating a totally immersive experience. The video was created by using a specialised rotating camera mount, with the camera mounted on a 3m long motion-controlled slider rig so that it moved in a spiral pattern past tree branches and toward an endless sky. 1,459 framed stills were captured and stitched together into a four minute video to elicit a sense of “winding and unwinding".
